THURSDAY APRIL 12 2018

We slept serenely on the XPT and were woken by a man handing out our breakfast.  We ate the raisin toast and saved the rest for later.  The train arrived at Roma St Brisbane right on time and as we alighted we told the guard that we could not hear any announcements on the speaker system.  He replied that this was a common problem on this train, but he did not blame Gladys.

We headed straight to the cafe for a drink and a seat, then bought Thursday's Sydney Morning Herald when the Paper Kiosk opened at 6:30.  That is the same time it is delivered at home.  They actually print a limited number of copies in Brisbane.  We asked several people which bus would take us to Chapel Hill and found out it was 444.  The first one of the day left at 7:27 and we used google map GPS to know when to press the button for our closest stop to Stonehenge St.

We were greeted by Aidan, Peta, Levi and Nathan and felt at home again.  Aidan went to work and we  followed Peta while Levi rode his pedalless  bike.  We spent an hour at Kennewell Park and Levi was very busy on the equipment and watching two council workers cut down two very small trees.  Levi can balance quite well on his bike and travels quite fast.

Peta found a baby python on the veranda post.

Our downstairs accommodation is very comfortable.  We spent a lot of time watching the Commonwealth Games.  We rang Dave Reid and told him where we would be sitting tomorrow night.
